Obituary of Patrick James Mulligan

Patrick J. Mulligan, a resident of Lithia, FL, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, due to complications from Parkinson's Disease. A proud native of Carracastle, Co. Mayo, Ireland, he was born on October 28, 1933, as the oldest of four children to the late Michael and Bridget Mulligan. He immigrated to the United States in 1962 and initially lived in Jackson Heights, NY. In 1965, he married his wife of 60 years, Catherine (nee Cadagon), and they settled in Woodside, NY, where they raised two children: Michael and Ann Marie. The family eventually moved to the Tampa, FL area in 2011. Patrick was a skilled and accomplished tradesman, working with the Enterprise Association of Steamfitters Local 638. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Bridget, his half-brother Johnny, and his brothers-in-law Trevor Nichols, Phil Doyle, and John Quinn. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; his sisters, Catherine Quinn, Anne Doyle, and Alice Nicholas; his son, Michael; his daughter, Ann Marie DeFazio; his son-in-law, Anthony DeFazio; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily, and Grace. Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 6th , from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, 43-07 Queens Blvd., Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 7th, at 10:45 a.m. at Saint Sebastian, 58-02 Roosevelt Ave, Woodside, NY, followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside.
