Wilford Jimenez died September 1, 2025 at NYU-Tisch Hospital of NYC. Wilford was born May 4, 1947 in Colombia.


Wilford is survived by his loving wife Esperanza of 55 years who during that time created a strong partnership that was an inspiration to all who knew them and was evident in everything they did. He leaves behind his three daughters, Alexandra, Isabel Cristina , and Diana and his four grandchildren - Angelica, Elijah, Victoria and Edith. His family was a source of his pride and joy, and they will forever cherish the memories shared with him. The ultimate storyteller and the life of every party that mischievous smile and twinkle in his eye will forever be missed.


As a proud Colombian, he served his country with honor in the military and in law-enforcement for over 20 years. But the love for his country was most fully on display while he rooted for his beloved local team El Nacional!


Visitation will be Friday, September 5 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY.


Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 am on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at St. Teresa RCC, 44th Street And 50th Avenue, Woodside, NY.
