Obituary of Patricia Ann Behan

Patricia "Patty" Ann Behan (Née O'Hara) of Greenpoint, Brooklyn and Stuart, Florida passed away on June 24, 2025 in Vero Beach, Florida. She is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Kevin Behan. Patty was born February 11, 1962 and raised in Woodside, NY. She was the beloved daughter of the late Bernard and Patricia O'Hara, cherished sister of Kathy and her husband Jim Ryan, Maureen and her partner Jose Morales, Bernie and his wife Amy, Eileen and her husband Rob Musgrove. Devoted and loving aunt to Jimmy and his wife Casey Ryan, Breanna and her husband Ryan Sinisi, Shea O'Hara, Sean O'Hara, Alyssa Zawistowski and Sarah Pawlukiewicz. Great Aunt to Madison, Quinn and James. Devoted pet mom to Brooklyn and the late Chi Chi and Baby. She was predeceased by her mother-in-law Ann Patricia Behan who loved her like a daughter. Patty also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends from her childhood days in Woodside, her life in Greenpoint, her snowbird life in Stuart and her many Facebook friends and family online. To say Patty lived life to the fullest is an understatement, she was a force of nature, unstoppable and unapologetic with the biggest heart and the kindest of intentions of anyone you will ever meet. She loved music, sports, horse racing and being Irish. She was a proud member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 6. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2 from 4-8pm at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc., 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Funeral Mass to be held 10:45am on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at St. Sebastian's RCC, 58 th Street and Roosevelt Avenue, Woodside, NY. Patty's bright spirit and immense love will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her.
