Estrella Padron, known lovingly as Nana, passed away peacefully at home in Sunnyside, Queens, at the age of 93 on June 14, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife and matriarch in her family.

Estrella was born on July 6, 1931, in the town of Sagua La Grande in Villa Clara, Cuba. She is the daughter of the late Consuelo La Rosa and Gabriel Padron, along with her siblings Serafin Padron, Felix Padron, Ciro Padron and Blanca Padron.

Estrella married Aladdin Falcon and was a beloved mother to Ernesto Falcon Padron and Blanca Perla Silva Falcon. Estrella made the journey from Cuba to the United States, resettling in New York City with her children in 1980. She built a life in New York City that was surrounded by love, support and the importance of family. She was a beacon in the lives of her grandchildren, working together to help to raise them while their parents worked. She was a pillar in their lives and will be dearly missed.

Estrella is survived by her devoted daughter and son-in-law: Blanca and Wilson Silva.

She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren and their spouses: Daniella and Daniel Silva, Damian and Sharrone Silva, and Lester and Cathy Falcon.

She also leaves behind her beloved great-grandchild: Grant Falcon.

Estrella was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her adored son, Ernesto Falcon.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, in Sunnyside, Queens.

A Mass and celebration of Estrella's life will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Raphael's Church, 35-20 Greenpoint Avenue, in Sunnyside, Queens. A burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, 127-15 Kew Gardens Road, in Kew Gardens, Queens, in New York City.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Estrella's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
