Ed Hart was a good man . Always cheerful , understanding and patient as well as protective of those he knew. As an example , while he was bartending at Shellys bar my then girl friend and current wife , Susan , and I and a few buddies were there . I left to use the restroom leaving Susan alone at the bar. It just so happened that Susan's Dad decided to pop in on his daughter unexpectedly and started talking to her . Ed did not know her Dad and immediately came over to admonish her Dad telling him to leave Susan alone as her boyfriend was in the restroom. I was just returning as I saw and heard Susan tell Ed that it was OK as he was her Dad. All involved appreciated Ed's actions as this exemplified the pride he took in his job and his caring nature. May he rest in peace with the Lord.

Mr. Hart was an incredible man. My earliest memories of him or when he was running the Fife and drum core with the Catholic war veterans post 870. He was always involved with us kids. I grew up as a member of the Saint sebastian's boys brigade and I remember him volunteering as one of the brigade leaders. My mom and dad were also members of the Catholic war veterans.
Story from my parents. As I recall them telling me the story they were in the airport on their way to somewhere in Europe on one of their vacations. Eddie Hart as he was known to them, to me he was always Mr. heart; just happened to meet them in the airport because he worked for the airline. I have no idea what he did but he apparently had some type of influence because my parents said that as they boarded their flight they didn't get the tickets or rather the seats that they had originally reserved in coach. Mr. Hart arranged for them to get seats in first class. It became one of the most memorable vacations they had because the upgrade was so incredible and so unexpected. Mr. Hart was like that he would do something nice for you without you even asking. He just seemed to know what you needed even when you didn't even know you needed it. His person and who he was and the way he lived his life matched his last name. He was a man that was all heart and gave his heart to everyone he knew. I don't remember a moment with the exception of a few times that I did some stupid stuff that he would reprimand me; that Mr. Hart didn't have a smile on his face a warm greeting to give you. You just knew that somehow some way he cared about you and everybody else. He was a man that gave himself wholeheartedly to everything and everyone. He will be missed forever.
