It's impossible not to smile when you think of Aunt Kate. So many good times and laughter and so much kindness. Keansburg, the court yard, seeing her at the theater, my wedding, and giggles and fun at Montauk. You will be missed.
Love you,

So many Montauk memories to share. Bingo! Game night with Aunt Kate was so much fun. One year she helped us document our family tree, and we wrote the names of well over 100 nieces/nephews. An amazing matriarch. As the next generation started coming to Montauk, the “great great” generation, they fell in love with Aunt Kate the same way we did. So much so that in honor of Aunt Kate, my niece Meghan took Catherine as her confirmation name. That says it all. So much fun and so many laughs. She will be forever missed and remembered always. Love the Ditaranto’s (Anne Marie, Jeanne, Karalyn, Jennifer, Amanda and Meghan)

I have known Katie for many , many years in the theatre. She was a sweet, loyal, loving, kind and giving friend. I have deeply missed our weekly dinners at which she would share hilarious stories about life and theatre. She had such great stories.
When she would share her remarkable stories, she would clasp her hands and vigorously rub them together and laugh and laugh. This gesture was so endearing that I began doing the same. Laugh and Clasp!!!!
She is and always will be an amazing and beautiful soul!
I would like to paraphrase and Irish blessing for Katie:
“Until we meet again
May God hold in the palm of his hand
May joy and peace surround you
Contentment latch your door
And happiness be with you now
And bless you evermore!
Love you Katie. My sincere condolences to Karen and family.

Grandma Katie was always happy and her laughter was contagious. She was the type of Grandmother that would make up silly songs so you wouldn’t be upset about having to wear glasses. She would call you on your birthday and sing the entire song and at parties she’d be up on the dance floor, especially when they called the last dance of the night .
I loved our family vacations to Florida ,weekends in seaside, broadway plays and ice cream party sleepovers. I have so many wonderful memories and I will cherish them for the rest of my life.
I Love You Grandma♥️

I worked with Aunt Katie at The Booth Theater for 15 years. Over the years I became so close to her. She was there for me a lot. I shared so much with her and she always made sure I was ok. She was a strong woman who many ushers looked up to and some feared haha. I will forever miss our talks, her stories, jokes, her laugh and mostly her hugs! Every time I eat a chocolate jelly ring I will think of her! I love you Aunt Katie and will forever carry you in my heart. Sleep in peace xoxo

My favorite memory of Aunt Katie was when she called me at work, we both worked at the same bank, after she found out I was marring her nephew Billy Lutz. She found me in the corporate directory. These were her exact words “Hi Lisa. I’m your Aunt Kate.” Then proceeded to congratulate me and tell great stories about the family. I was blessed to marry her nephew and gain a new Aunt. I adored her. Aunt Peggy had a gathering for Bill and I so I could meet all his fabulous Aunts and family. We are really going to miss her and her and her awesome personality.
