I never knew her, and have only heard of her when she suffered her aneurism from a close and dear friend, who happens to be her daughter in law. I have just completed reading the articles that are written of her, and I am impressed and amazed by her contribution to her community. And I don't think that I can even imagine the feeling of loss that her friends and family are going through. Her life exemplifies what it is to be fully educated....when you can give back to your community and she did. I would describe her as a stand up woman even though I don't know her. CA.

On behalf of Sunnyside Community Services, I would like to express my deepest condolences to Lily’s children and her extended family and indeed to all of us. For everyone loved Lily. Lily was a true class act who was always bringing groups of people together for great food and interesting conversations at her beloved Dazie’s. She always had a kind word to say about everyone. She cared deeply about the community and made a valuable contribution to so many groups in the community. Lily was a wonderful spokesperson for Sunnyside Community Services with a particular soft spot for our senior center. We will miss her deeply. I was saddened to get the phone call about my lovely Aunt Lillian's passing. She was one of the people who helped raise me when I was a child due to our many visits to New York and Brooklyn. I have many fond memories of those visits and Lillian will be with me until my time ends. I send my condolences to my aunts and all of my cousins during this sad occasion and will be with all of you in spirit, if not in person.

We are deeply sorry to hear this news :-( We never had a chance to meet this wonderful lady because she was at the hospital when we went to Dazies and met with her son Raymond. We prayed for her many times to get better but I think Angels wanted her by their side. She was a wonderful lady, was a living angel and did a lot for the neighbourhood and the community. She will never be forgotten. And her legacy will go on with Dazies Restaurant and all the works she did everywhere around... To the sweetest, most kindest and cheerful woman I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Each and every time I went to Dazies Restaurant Lil met me with a welcoming hug and inviting smile. Dear Family of Lily's, We are so sorry to hear of the untimely passing of your Mom, Lily. She was an amazingly strong, sweet, kind, caring and beautiful woman, the list can go on and on with wonderful words about her. Sad but true, there is a saying, :"we all know how we got here, but we won't know how we will leave" . I am sure none of us expected what Lily endured during these few months. The only consoling factor through all this is that you had the opportunity to spend more time with your mom, and that itself is a blessing. Lily was a mother a friend a boss to me.Lily touched a lot of people throughout her life in different ways. Lily will be missed very much!!! We had lots of talks and she taught me a lot about life and business. We laughed we cried we danced and we sang!! She was the strongest women I knew.
