Obituary of Carol Travella

"It is with a very heavy heart that we are providing the funeral details for our dear sister and sister-in-law, Carol Travella. Carol fought the fight longer than any of her doctors could have imagined. For more than 10 years, Carol persevered though many, many chemo treatments and lifesaving clinical trials. She was an absolute inspiration to others battling cancer, and especially to those afflicted with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Through it all, Carol kept her witty, funny, sense of humor, even when we struggled with the reality of her illness. She gave up the battle yesterday, June 20th. We will miss her dearly, but she will forever be in our hearts. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (nee Pino). Loving sister of Charles and his wife Delene of Ft. Myers, Fl and Joseph and his wife Maria of Huntington, NY. Cherished aunt of Traci Bitler and Lauren Fox. Dearest great aunt to Michelle Ramage and Catalina Fox and great-great aunt to Alayna Ramage. Beloved niece to Sally Cannone. Devoted and caring cousin to Joan Cannone. Dear cousin to A J Pino. Also survived by dear cousins and friends. Visitation will be Friday, June 23 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:30 am on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at St. Teresa RCC, 44th Street And 50th Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, in Woodside, following the Mass.
