John Kavanagh, age 82, of Woodside, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at home in Woodside. John was born June 5, 1934 in Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland. Beloved husband of Virginia nee Gilchrist. Loving father of Maureen Kavanagh. Dear brother of Patrick and Kathleen. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29 from 4-8PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 am on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at St. Teresa RCC, 44th Street And 50th Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside following the Mass.
