Obituary of James V. Dunphy

James V. Dunphy, age 81, of Woodside, died Sunday, January 15, 2017 at his home. James was born May 30, 1935 in New York, NY. He was a Retired Clerk for the US Postal Service and a US Army Reservist. Beloved father of James, John and Gina Williams. Dear grandfather of Jason, Dustin and Dylan Williams of Vero Beach, FL and Jimmy Dunphy of Florida. Loving brother of Coleen Meli, Kevin Dunphy, William Dunphy, Eileen Reilly, Kathleen Castonguay, Mary Truta and the late Patrick, John, Roger, Charles, Anna Neubauer and Eilzabeth Davitt. James is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 17 from 7-9PM and Wednesday, January 18 from 2-5PM and 7-9PM at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at St. Mary's Church (Winfield), 70-31 48th Avenue, Woodside, NY. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woodside following the Mass.
