Obituary of Jacqueline E. Sato

Jacqueline Eunice Sato, 50, of Trujillo, La Libertad, Peru, passed away on August 27th in New York. Visitation will be held at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home on September 1st from 2 pm to 9 pm. Spiritual service at 3 pm with Monk Tawin Pukhao of Wat Buddha Thai Thavorn Vanaram officiating. Jacqueline was born in Trujillo to Mario Sato and Lucinda Palomino on September 24th 1965 She went to high school at "Hermanos Blancos" and graduated in 1981. She went on to earn a degree in Law from "Universidad Nacional de Trujillo". She was a founding member of "ONG Micaela Bastidas" and dedicated her life to fight for the women rights and human rights. She worked at Canada Immigration Center as a translator and interpreter. She was a member of the Board of the Center for Spanish Speaking People. She volunteered for Restore whose mission is to end sex trafficking in New York and restore the well-being and independence of foreign national survivors. She enjoyed travelling, reading, writing, singing, dancing, laughing, cooking Peruvian food and helping people. Jacqueline is survived by her husband Vladimir, her mother Lucinda, her sisters Anabella, Marilu, Roxana, Gretel and brothers Hansel and Erick, her nieces Ethel, Yuriko, Sandra, Paula, Sindy, Jackie, Akemi and her nephews Mario, Jean Paul , Eric, Adrian, Laurence, and Jonathan. She is preceded in death by her father Mario. Memorial donations may be made to Restore at http://restorenyc.org/ Jacquie was an extraordinary person, full of light. She loved life with passion. Every person who ever met her fall in love with her beautiful and generous personality. She touched the life of many people. She will be remembered for eternity.
