Obituary of Patricia Menges

Patricia Menges, age 75, formally of Sunnyside, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Our Lady of Consolation Nursing Home of Islip, NY. Patricia was born August 8, 1939 in Astoria, NY. She is the daughter of the late John D. and the late Catherine (Butler) Lawney. Beloved Mother of Coleen McCarthy and her husband Michael, Kelly Barbosa and her husband Michael, Kevin Nolan, and Bobby Menges and his wife Carolyn. Dear sister of Elizabeth Brunner and Dennis Lawney. Cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren and one great grandson. Memorial Visitation will be Friday, January 23 from 5-9pm at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm. Funeral Service will be held 10:30 am on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Edward D. Lynch Funeral Home, Inc, 43-07 Queens Boulevard, Sunnyside, NY. Burial of ashes will be at Calvary Cemetery, Woodside, NY following the Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Patricia's memory to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) and Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org)
